Adheera means eagerness which holds significance with - exploring, creation and designing. Adheera is a textile brand working with shibori techniques since its inception in 2016. The brand focuses on creating minimal waste designs and timeless styles. Each design is crafted using locally sourced, natural and hand-woven fabrics. Adheera aims at conveying stories in the form of colours and patterns, yet is equally novel and unbound by tradition. With the brand's core value of unapologetically exploring art, each collection is deeply rooted with the designer, Dipika Udhani’s personal essence of unbounded sense of crafts. Adheera has adopted different methods of creating mindful designs in every collection. Along with keeping the brand’s love for Shibori always in focus, it has adopted the age-old technique of appliqué in its collection. One can see the use of leftover shibori fabric scraps in the form of appliqué on natural fabrics. Among the country’s only few brands working on botanical dyeing and printing, the brand consciously focuses on using flowers, leaves and natural dyeing colors in its design creating seasonless silhouettes. Adheera works mostly with free size silhouettes.
Every garment is made with minimal damage to the environment, it highlights the use of organic fabrics and adopting natural dyes instead of chemically treated colours Upcycling has been a part of Adheera since its inception in the form of embroidery and appliqué. Adheera aims at empowering local as well as artisans from different cities. It focuses on handcrafted techniques where there is a collaboration with the artisans directly.Adheera is headed by Dipika Udhani, a self taught shibori artist and a fashion entrepreneur based in Gujarat.
