Embellished with ‘khneng’ embroidery, the unique and only known form of embroidery in Meghalaya - oldest and dying art forms practiced by the people of Mustoh village. Inspired by a khasi folktale of ‘U sier lapalang’ the motifs used in this jacket such as a stag, the trees, hills are key elements found in the folktale. The model is 5'6" and is wearing size S.

Made in Eri silk, naturally dyed with iron ore for the grey and tea leaves for the beige.

This piece is handcrafted in small batches using natural dyes. Variations in colour, texture, print and finish are inherent to the process, making each piece unique.
