Khara Kapas, a source for beautiful clothing made in India, is steeped in nomadic pragmatism and succinct design. Each product is exquisite to the touch, stitched with their signature thread. The cloth is organic, the colours are eco-friendly, the prints are made using wooden blocks, a tradition that is more than a few centuries old.
Khara Kapas, meaning ‘pure cotton’ in Hindi, started with the belief that design is a form of expression and clothes made from pure fabrics can bring happiness into people's everyday life. It is home to an incredible ensemble of cotton variants and Indian hand looms, often experimenting with Mulmul, Chanderi, linen and the 100% organic cotton variant - Kala cotton. It is a modern take on heritage, deriving inspiration from local artisans and weavers from across the country to serve the penchant of cotton lovers. With the help of these weavers, Khara Kapas celebrates Indian culture, tradition and its rich heritage.
Their design philosophy revolves around the idea of minimalism, clean cuts, and relaxed silhouettes in pure fabrics, earthy tones and simple prints. Khara Kapas is a translation of love and purity. Every design is distinct, unique and a wearable art piece.
Khara Kapas is founded by Shipi Yadav and is based in Gurgaon.
